Save and publish

Save keeps your changes. Whether they reach your store depends on the cart:

A draft cart only changes in NativeSlide. Your store keeps showing the live cart.
The live cart updates on your store when you save. There’s no need to publish it again.

Publishing

To make a draft cart the one your shoppers see, open the ⋮ menu and choose Publish. It replaces the live cart, and the previous one becomes a draft. Publishing uses the cart as it was last saved, so save your changes first.

Publishing usually takes a few seconds, and you’ll see Your cart is live on your store. when it’s done. If it takes longer, NativeSlide keeps trying in the background, so you can close the window. Last publish on the dashboard shows when the last one finished.

Shoppers who already have your store open may see the previous version for up to a minute.

Previewing on your store

To see a cart on your real store before shoppers do, open it in the editor and choose Preview in the ⋮ menu. Your store opens in a new tab with this cart instead of the live one, including changes you haven’t saved yet. It works for draft carts too, and nothing is published or saved.

Only that browser tab shows the preview. Your shoppers keep seeing the live cart. You can move between pages and add real products to the cart; the preview stays on in that tab until you close it. To go back to the live cart in the same tab, add ?nspreview=off to the address.

The preview is a snapshot. If you change the cart afterwards, choose Preview again.

The preview needs the app embed. If it’s off, the editor tells you so, and your store shows your theme’s own cart. See Turning on the app embed.

If the cart doesn’t show on your store

Check these in order:

Is the app embed on? The dashboard’s App embed should say Enabled. If not, see Turning on the app embed.
Is a cart live? One cart in Carts should have the Live badge. If you deleted the live cart, your store shows your theme’s cart until you publish another one.
Did the publish finish? The dashboard shows Last publish, and any error under it.
Is it your live theme? The embed only works in the theme your store is using now. Theme previews of other themes won’t show the cart unless you turn the embed on there too.
